We have the avalanche equipment for you if you don’t have it. You need skis and skins to go up and down or snowshoes. I have an extra set of binding inserts for someone to convert downhill skis to touring but you need to let me know if you want to borrow them so that you can get them ahead of time and size them for your bindings.
The plan will be to meet at log cabin and then drive to Fraser and spend the day in that area. We will not be going past the border.
For those of you that have not yet taken an AST course you will receive a companion rescue skills certificate.
I would be happy to arrange a classroom session Thursday evening if anyone wants that – it would be mostly about how to use the mountain information network (MIN)
