Steve Reid is holding an Incident Command System training January 24th from 10 to 11 AM for all Sima staff. The invitation is also open to all patrollers who are interested. This is an indoor training session, no special equipment needed.

According to Wikipedia,

The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standardized approach to the command, control, and coordination of emergency response providing a common hierarchy within which responders from multiple agencies can be effective.

Sima now uses ICS for lift evacuation response, so this will be a chance to introduce some of you to the system, and serve as a refresher for others. ICS is also used by most if not all emergency personnel to structure an intervention and is a great piece of knowledge to have.

Please RSVP here by January 22nd 12 PM.
