2019 SlamFest is back with an Enduro and Downhill Race at Mount Sima. The event is presented by Icycle Sports, Chieftain Energy and AirNorth, Yukon’s Airline.
Notes for patrollers
Moderate to advanced mountain biking skills are required. There is a variety of terrain available to ride ranging from one green run (Drop the Clutch) to double black diamond (Lefty Loosey and Sluice Box). Helmets are mandatory and extra protective gear is recommended. In order to remain safe, there is no shame in walking sections for which you are uncomfortable.
Mount Sima has 2 mountain bikes to share amongst patrollers. There is no guarantee of any availability of those bicycles, therefore, it is recommended to have your own mountain bike.
Responding to an incident is done via top hut for the initial assessment and transportation is organized with Pro Patrol with the Kubota from the base.
This is a CSP sanctioned Summer Event which helps fund CSP activities and provides 25 CSP Bucks per shift. Make sure to signup for 2 shifts if you plan on being available for the full day.

Event Details
Current prices are $25 for 1 race or $40 for 2 races if you register online. Registration deal only applies if you purchase your pass online. Price increases by $10 the day of registration. Kids Race will be part of the Enduro Race on Drop the Clutch Only. Sign up early and save.

** Please note: If there are not enough racers in the Open Class, you will be moved over to the Pro Class**.
Approximate itinerary as follows:
Saturday
- 10am to 6pm: Chairlift open Saturday August 31st & Sunday Sept 1st .
- 10am – 1:00pm: On-site registration for both Enduro and Downhill Races.
- 2:00 pm: Enduro Race. Kids Race after all other racers are done.
- 5:00 pm: Awards ceremony.
- 5:45 pm: Last Chair up.
- 6:00 pm: Chairlift Closes.
- 7:00 pm: Movie Night and after Party in the Mount Sima Lounge.
Sunday
- 10am: Chairlift opens.
- 10am – 1:00 pm: On-Site Registration for Downhill Race.
- 2:30 pm: Downhill Race. ALL RACERS MUST BE AT THE START GATE FOR NO LATER THEN 2:30pm.
- 4:00 pm: Downhill Race finish.
- 4:30 pm: Downhill Race Awards Ceremony.
- 5:45 pm: Last Chairlift up.
- 6:00 pm: Chairlift Closes.
