Great team, awesome training

The Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP) is a great volunteer organization and the perfect excuse to enjoy skiing and snowboarding on a regular basis. Ski patrollers come from diverse backgrounds. They are teachers, students, doctors, carpenters, retirees… you name it. Common interests are a passion for skiing and snowboarding and a desire to make a difference in their community. Anyone who is 18 years old and is a intermediate nordic or alpine skier or snowboarder is eligible to join.

From the moment you join the CSP, you will be volunteering, learning and interacting in a team environment. Our certified training will give you the chance to learn about emergency care, lift evacuation, skiing and snowboarding improvements, toboggan handling, and other interesting topics.

CSP members are people with a strong desire to help others, improve their on snow abilities and make outside recreation safer for everyone.

Training schedule

We will not hide the fact that you need to be dedicated to the training. We offer a 60 hour course and it will span over three full weekends. In order to accommodate for a busy schedule and to reduce the amount of class time , we are also using e-learning so you can learn and review content during the week.

The 2023 course for new patrollers starts on September 27. All dates are mandatory unless you have special permission to miss any.

The training dates are:
September 27 (evening)
October 4 (evening), 14, 15, 22, 28, 29 and November 5

Lift Evacuation Training: November 3-4

Recertification of returning patrollers:
CPR: October 21

I want to be informed about the next training sessions
